KARACHI, Jan 30: A seven-year-old girl abducted a couple of days ago in Ibrahim Hydri was recovered and three suspects were arrested by police in a raid on Sunday, police sources said. They said the girl had gone missing while playing outside her house in Bhittai Colony on Friday evening. Her father Syed Mushtaq Shah cast doubt on a man, Sakhawat, and police picked him up from the neighbourhood.

During interrogation the suspect admitted that he had picked up the girl and handed her over to Abdul Hanan in Chakra Goth.

Subsequently, the police raided a house in Chakra Goth and recovered the girl and arrested two suspects Hanan and Rashid. The police said the suspects were to sell the girl to someone. An FIR (54/2011) under Section 364-A (kidnapping or abducting a person under the age of fourteen) of the Pakistan Penal Code was registered at the Ibrahim Hydri police station on the complaint of the father.
