BAJAUR, Oct 3: The patients admitted to Bajaur Agency Headquarters Hospital and their attendants staged a protest demonstration against the shortage of doctors and paramedical staff added by lack of treatment facilities at the hospital.

The patients and their relatives criticized the non- availability of doctors and paramedics in the 150-bed hospital. They blocked Khaar-Nawagai Road for all kind of traffic for about two hours.

The demonstrators also criticized the hospital administration for the lack of proper arrangements and deplored the staff attitude towards the patients.

The demonstration ended on the intervention of the political administration, assuring the patients that all treatment facilities would be made available at the hospital.

PUBLIC MEETING: Muttahidda Majlis-i-Amal leaders and candidates for the National Assembly seats of Bajaur Agency claimed at an election rally here on Wednesday that the religious parties alliance would wipe out opponents on Oct 10.
