KARACHI: Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat-ul- Ebad Khan, on Friday held a meeting at the Governor House with the management of Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC).

The Governor asked the KESC management to put off the decision to lay off employees till coming to fore of the recommendations of the committee.

An official statement said that, in consultation with Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, an eight-member committee consisting of government representatives had been formed.

The committee will submit its recommendations to the provincial government in three days, on matters pertaining to laid off employees of KESC and protection of stakeholder interests.

He also directed KESC that there should not be any hurdle in the supply of electricity to the people.

The Governor asked that the matters be resolved through dialogue. – APP
