Actor Aamir Khan’s wife (second better half, by the way) Kiran Rao has made a film titled Dhobi Ghat and it’s going to be screened on Jan 21.

Perhaps you already knew about it, so that’s nothing revelatory. What’s a little weird is that her hubby Aamir has also played a part in the film, albeit he’s not the main lead (thank heavens for that).

On that piece of casting Kiran has made an interesting remark: “Keeping in mind Aamir’s universal and loyal fans, we felt it was important not to mislead them with misplaced expectations from the film. People who want to ‘consume’ the film as an Aamir Khan film may be disappointed. The film will have its own set of audience.”

This girl has some brains and is wired right, unlike someone close to her. She concedes that Aamir’s following is limited to a certain section of society. Hmm, now we know with whose tongue AK speaks at press conferences.
