HYDERABAD, Sept 28: The secretary general, Mutahedda Labour Federation of Pakistan, Qamoos Gul Khattak, has expressed skepticism over the new labour policy, and termed it as a travesty and negation of the tripartite labour conference.

In a statement issued here on Friday, he said, in connection with the new policy, that the working class had been denied the right to form trade unions, for which the labour federations had been struggling for years.

He said nothing better could be expected from the dictatorial regime when the two major political parties had not only deprived the working class of their legal rights but had declined to even meet with the labour leaders.

He said this was the reason that the majority of the workers were disillusioned with the politics.
