Attack on Afghanistan condemned

CHITRAL, Oct 8: A procession was taken out by the religious and political parties here on Monday after Zuhr prayers to condemn the attack on Afghanistan. Charged with emotions thousands of protesters participated in the procession which ended at Ataliq Chowk.

The speakers vehemently criticized the US and its allies for launching offensive on Afghanistan for their no fault but on false pretext. They warned them of the same consequences which the erstwhile USSR met with in Afghanistan.

The speakers also warned the Musharraf government for adopting subservient policies on the issue and not to allow the US and her allies to use Pakistani soil as launching pad against the Talibans.

The speakers included Abdur Rauf, Maulana Abdul Hamid, Maulana Israruddin, Fazlur Rahim advocate and other belonging to Jamaat-i-Islami, JUI, PML(N) and ANP.
