Transfers violate rules

Published October 9, 2001

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 8: Large-scale transfers and postings in the Education Department are under way in violation of the NWFP district government’s rules of business 2001 and guidelines on posting/transfer policy.

Transfer orders issued by the Executive District Officer, (literacy, sports and education), Dera Ismail Khan, during the last few days have not only affected and disturbed the teachers, but also violated the rules and guidelines.

According to the new policy, transfers are allowed only against the existing vacancies observing the performance, academic record, service in hard area and tenure outside the home station. But the teachers serving at their home stations were adjusted at the old stations, while those at out-stations were totally ignored.
