HYDERABAD, Sept 26: The sacked workers of the Zeal Pak Cement Factory continued their hunger strike outside the press club for the 74th consecutive day on Thursday.

No person in authority has taken any notice of the predicament of the poor workers who have no money even to file a case in the labour court against the factory management.

NLF: The provincial president, National Labour Federation (NLF), Rana Mehmood Ali Khan, has condemned the non-payment of outstanding dues of the golden handshake to the Zeal Pak Cement Factory employees according to the written agreement.

The labour leader said that on the one hand hundreds of poor employees had been denied their legal dues, and on the other their services had also been terminated.

In a statement issued on Thursday, he said that according to the agreement the factory management had no right to terminate the services of the employees in case their legal dues were not paid.
