KARACHI: 2 more judges for ATC

Published September 27, 2002

KARACHI, Sept 26: The Sindh government has appointed two more judges for the anti-terrorism courts.

Well-placed sources told Dawn on Thursday that a notification to this effect had already been prepared and it would be issued on Friday.

They said Feroze Mehmood Bhatti and Haq Nawaz Baloch had been appointed judges for the ATCs.

The sources said Mr Bhatti would be inducted into the ATC-2, at present presided over by Judge Abdul Ghafoor Memon, who is expected to be transferred and posted at a labour court.

They said a new court (ATC-5) would be set up for Mr Baloch and its establishment would be notified after his appointment.
