MIANWALI, Sept 24: The four convicts in the Abakhel case could not be released on Tuesday as Daulat Bibi, the mother of slain Saadullah, again did not appear before the court to confirm the compromise deal.

After the instructions of the apex court, the district and sessions judge started proceedings to confirm the compromise deal according to diyat. On various dates, the legal heirs of deceased Noor Khan and Saadullah confirmed the compromise, but the mother of Saadullah did not do so.

On Tuesday, she again did not appear before the court and the case was adjourned for Sept 30.
