One shot dead RAWALPINDI, Nov 25: A man was shot dead, while his two brothers narrowly escaped when gunmen attacked them in Karamabad, Westridge on Thursday, police said.
Sharafat Shah, the victim along with his two brothers Rafaqat Shah and Zaman Shah was sitting at his grocery shop when five persons came in a car and two of them opened fire injuring Sharafat critically. However, the two other brothers sitting there escaped the attack.
Sharafat Shah died on way to the District Headquarters Hospital.—Staff Reporter
Two die in different incidents
TAXILA, Nov 25: Two persons were killed in different incidents in Wah Cantonment police area on Thursday.
A man was shot dead by unknown assailants near Wah village. Police sources said that Akhter Nawaz was going to his house when some persons shot him dead.

TAXILA, Nov 25: Police arrested one of the main accused involved in robbery of house of a former judge of Lahore High Court and recovered stolen vehicle within 12 hours.
A gang of armed robbers equipped with sophisticated weapons stormed at the house of former judge of Lahore High court Syed Intikhab Hussain Shah on Wednesday and took the inmates on gun point. On resistance they also shot and injured brother and sister-in-law of the former judged. They also subjected the former judge to torture. Later they fled away with the booty.—Correspondent
Young man kidnapped
ATTOCK, Nov 25: Some armed persons kidnapped a young man in Barwala village of Injra Police station.
Moreover, a worker was killed and a boy was injured in separate road accidents. Police said here on Thursday that Mian Mohammad reported to Injra police that he was on his way home on a tractor trolley with his son and brothers, when armed person tried to intercept the vehicle on Wednesday evening. But the driver ran the vehicle away. On which he opened fire and busted the tyres.
Later on, he with the help of some other fellows kidnapped his son Gull Muhammad and fled away from the scene. Injra Police have registered a kidnapping case against the accused kidnapper s and are investigating.—Correspondent Eight outlaws arrested
TAXILA, Nov 25: In a crack down on anti-social elements and criminals, Taxila police arrested eight criminals and recovered huge quantity of narcotics and liquor.
Sub divisional police officer Taxila circle DSP Raja Taifoor Akhter while briefing newsmen on Wednesday said that in the crackdown Abdul Shakoor, Liaqaut Ali, Mohammad Riaz, Umar Farooq, Mohammad Mehboob, Maqsood Ahmed, Riaz Masih and Khursheed Ahmed were arrested. —Correspondent
