KARACHI, Sept 23: Aziz Memon, chairman, Textile Quotas Supervisory Council, is attending executive forum consultation from Wednesday

in Montreux Switzerland on invitation of the International Trade Centre of UNCTAD and WTO.

The forum is holding an international debate on best practices in nation export strategy management. The focus this year is on “Managing Competitive Advantage”. It proposes to look into five propositions — creating, capturing, adding, projecting and confirming value.

Aziz Memon represents a leading textile business group. He would also visit ILO headquarters in Geneva to brief the officials concerned on the labour policy. He would discuss contents of the social agenda that would play a pivotal role in the post-2004 era when social accountability, environmental safeguards and protection of fundamental rights of the workers would be paramount features of the global trade.
