KARACHI: Two more Harkat men arrested

KARACHI, Sept 22: Police arrested on Sunday another two militants of the Harkatul Mujahideen Al-Almi following recovered of illegal weapons from their possession, bringing the total number of arrested activists to 24.

“We raided a place in Nazimabad and arrested Khurram and Amjad on a lead provided by Sharib and Zubair Mufti,” SSP Investigation (Homicide) Manzoor Mughal told Dawn over telephone.

He said detained activists Sharib and Zubair told investigators that Khurram and Amjad were their accomplices and they acted upon the orders of their high command. Police raided Al-Quresh Little School in Allama Iqbal Town, Nazimabad, and arrested Khurram and Amjad. Police also recovered three TT pistols from Khurram and a revolver and a timer device from Amjad, he added.
