KARACHI: Illegal hydrant

Published November 12, 2001

KARACHI, Nov 11: An illegal hydrant in Pak Colony has become a nuisance to the residents of the locality, besides causing damage to the nearby roads.

Residents complained that the hydrant, situated on Plot No 4 in Pak Modern Colony behind Kamal petrol pump, had been sealed by the city administration about 18 months back, but it had once again started functioning. Now the possibility of accidents involving water tankers which drew water from the hydrant could not be ruled out, they said.

They said operators of tankers roamed in front of entrance of houses near the hydrant and used filthy language.
