PML-N leaders, workers trade charges

MANSEHRA, Sept 21: After tendering of resignations by the office-bearers of PML (N) in Mansehra district, the party leaders and workers have started levelling allegations and counter-allegations against each other.

Speaking at a press conference here on Saturday, the acting president of PML (N), Mansehra district, Aslam Khan Baffa, said those who had resigned had never been sincere to the cause of the party.

He alleged that Qazi Irshad had been a right-hand man of district Nazim Azam Khan Swati, and was planted in the party by the district Nazim to harm party’s interests and create unrest among its workers.

Aslam Khan said he had opposed the nomination of Qazi Irshad as the party’s district president, however, he added he preferred to keep silent as the decision had been taken by the party’s provincial chief Sabir Shah.

He said that the party workers were united and would continue canvassing for PML (N) candidates.
