LAHORE, Nov 13: All wholesale grain markets in the Punjab capital, including Akbari Mandi, will remain open on Sunday (today) for buying or selling sugar.

A decision to the effect was taken during a meeting presided over by Lahore Commissioner Khusro Pervaiz Khan here on Saturday.

Punjab Sugar Dealers Association Chairman Ayub Rana and other office-bearers assured the commissioner and DCO Ahad Cheema that sugar supplied by the Punjab government would be sold for Rs69 a kilo in the wholesale and for Rs72 a kilo at retail.
