ISLAMABAD, Sept 18: A meeting of the National Finance Commission will be held here on Sunday to finalize the 6th award.
Sources said the meeting, to be presided over by Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz, was expected to arrive at consensus to offer adequate funds to the provinces from the federal divisible pool.
There were some differences between the NWFP and Wapda over the hydel power generation income. The government had proposed that they should resolve the issue through arbitration. Officials hoped that the NWFP and Wapda would come to terms.
