KARACHI, Sept 17: The Baqai University and the University of Karachi have jointly initiated a pilot project as part of the poverty alleviation program in remote and backward villages of the province.

This was said by Brig A.S Nasir, convener Poverty Alleviation Forum, Sindh Government, in a press briefing here on Tuesday.

He mentioned that a project presentation program on the very theme of poverty alleviation was organized in coordination with 23 different universities of the province on August 27.

The universities participating in the event presented and elaborated their respective schemes. To actually implement the ideas conceived by them, a pilot project in a village located near Karachi was also initiated.—APP
