PESHAWAR, Sept 16: The mismanagement marred the long-awaited concert at a local five-star hotel and the enraged people left the venue when some unruly youths made mess of things.

The much-hyped musical concert fell short of expectations as it didn’t prove to provide entertainment to the people who had thronged the lush green lawn of the hotel hours before the concert began. Bulk of the participants was from among the university students including both boys and girls. It started at 11pm, two hours late than the scheduled time, which caused commotion among those present there.

Not only that it was a late beginning but the people were put to more trouble because there was another group which performed earlier. This also caused anger among the people.

The organiser who claimed having spent lot of money on the concert and wanted it to be a fun-filled gala which didn’t materialise at the end of the show.

Finally the concert got underway well past 11pm. As Haroon appeared on the stage, there was a great hustle and bustle among the dancing youthful youths. They warmly the singer but their happiness short- lived because of the ill-planning. One of the causes of resentment was to create a separate portion for girls.

The main lawn has hosted several crowded concerts in the past. One spellbinding performance was given by Haroon only six months ago. Most of the people had come that he would repeat the same performance which was unfortunately not the case.

After singing only five numbers by Haroon, the dancing boys rooted the tent to mingle with the girls portion and danced in front of them. This caused a furore among the girls and they left the venue and so the concert reached its conclusion.
