KARACHI, Oct 22: Khuda Bakhsh scored a hat-trick to enable Wadpa to beat Karachi Port Trust (KPT) 5-2 while National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Afghan FC and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) recorded wins in the four matches played in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) on Friday.
The match between Wapda and KPT at the Railway Stadium in Lahore saw the former’s veteran striker Khuda Bakhsh score in the 59th, 76th and 86th minutes with Zeeshan Javed (40th min) and Arif Mahmood (68th min) bringing in the other two goals. Mohammad Zahid (24th min) and Mohammad Wasim (90th min) reduced the margin for KPT.
At the Rai Ali Nawaz Stadium in Sahiwal, NBP beat Young Blood FC 2-1 with Farooq Shah (62nd min) and Abdul Aziz (66th min) scoring for the winners and Asim Mansoor (45th min) getting one for the losing side.
Meanwhile, Afghan FC and PAF both beat their respective opponents 2-0. Afghan FC beat Army at the Municipal Stadium in Rawalpindi with the goals being scored by Mohammad Imran (12th min) and Shajeel Vicky (72nd min). PAF beat Habib Bank Limited (HBL) at the Qayyum Stadium in Peshawar with Mohammad Mujahid (10th min) and Saleh Khan (86th min) scoring for them.
Saturday fixtures: PMC Athletico v PIA at PMC ground, Faisalabad; PEL v KESC at Model Town Football Academy ground, Lahore; Navy v Baloch FC at Municipal Stadium, Rawalpindi (12.30pm); KRL v SSGC also at Municipal Stadium, Rawalpindi.
