LAHORE, Sept 15: National champion Asma Butt earned a cakewalk victory over her sibling Uzma to clinch the All Pakistan Ranking badminton tournament 11-7 11-10 at the New Khan courts Sunday.

Asma exhibited better court coverage and shots to leave no comeback option for Uzma.

Uzma showed flashes of brilliance only in the second game when she first tied at 7-all and then 10-all before Asma sealed the match with an excellent forehand winner.

National champion Wajid Ali (New Khan) claimed the men’s title without taking the court when his opponent Aamir Islam withdrew with a hamstring injury.

The pair of Omer Zeeshan and Rizwan Rana won the doubles final beating Naveed Iqbal and Mohammad Faisal 15-8, 15-12.

Uzma had some consolation when she paired with Asma to bag the ladies doubles crown. The sisters defeated Ayesha Akram and Shazia Nourin 3-15, 15-10, 17-15.

The mixed doubles title went to Imran Mohib and Saima who saw off Rizwan Rana and Zahida Ali 15-11, 8-15, 15-12. Naveed Javed and Maqsood won the veterans title beating Habib and Munir 15-8, 15-8.
