LAHORE: Parameters for audit approved

LAHORE, Nov 10: The methodologies, approaches, and parameters for certification of the federal, provincial, and district government accounts were finalized at a meeting on Saturday.

The meeting was chaired by Auditor General of Pakistan, Manzoor Husain, and attended by senior audit officials. The meeting considered issues arising out of the promulgation of the Auditor General’s (Functions, Powers, and Terms and Conditions of Service) Ordinance 2001. The meeting approved the redesigned certificate to be signed by the AG. The meeting felt the need for setting up a mechanism for continuous evaluation of the system of internal controls.
