RAWALPINDI, Nov 10: The start of the new teaching session of the Government Postgraduate College for Women was marked by a colourful function in Satellite Town here on Saturday.

The college holds the function annually to welcome new students in its intermediate, bachelor and master classes — specially the new first-year students.

The ceremony centres around a Meena Bazaar of sorts, where students are given complete freedom to enjoy the day to their hearts’ content.

These colourful activities set this college apart from the other 14 girls’ colleges of Rawalpindi. .—Reporter
