DHAKA, Sept 14: The foreign ministry of Bangladesh late last week asked its high commission in Delhi to immediately lodge an official protest with the Indian foreign ministry against the continued killings of Bangladeshi nationals at the border.

The foreign ministry issued the directive to the high commission following the killing of at least seven Bangladeshis by the Border Security Forces (BSF) of India over the last two weeks.

A foreign ministry spokesman in Dhaka told Dawn on Saturday that the high commission had already been directed to register protest against the killings.
