NAWABSHAH, Oct 14 Senior Vice President of National Party Senator Mir Hasil Bizanjo has said that the nation is facing consequences of wrong decisions taken by a dictator.

He was speaking at a gathering on 28th death anniversary of hari leader and vice president of Awami League, Qazi Faiz Mohammed, at the press club on Thursday.

Mir Hasil Khan Bizanjo said that the post of the prime minister was auctioned for US $25 million during Musharraf government and asked that what a ruler would give to nation after coming into power through payment of money.

He paid tribute to services rendered by Qazi Faiz Mohammad and termed him a great leader who struggled for betterment of peasants and handed over 50 per cent land of feudal lords to landless haris.

He said that twice in the country, agricultural reforms were announced, however, they were not implemented. He said that more than 70 per cent of the people sitting in the National Assembly were feudal lords who would not allow implementation of agricultural reforms.

Speaking on the occasion, general secretary of PPP Sindh, Taj Haider said that Qazi Faiz Mohammed struggled for peasants and also played an active role against One Unit. He said that Sindh belonged to peasants and labourers and not to waderas and thieves.

Qazi Javed, Saleh Biloo, Ibrar Qazi and Dr Hyder Sindhi also spoke on the occasion.

Later, talking to journalists at the meet the press programme at the press club, Senator Bizanjo said that it would be in the interest of People's Party to follow the decisions of Supreme Court adding that this would not harm the government or derail democracy.

He said that number of missing persons from Balochistan was increasing whereas political workers were also being kidnapped and killed.

He said that there were many places in Balochistan where country's flag can not be hoisted and added that Baloch youths were disheartened due to wrong decisions of the rulers.

He said that government's promise of providing 5,000 jobs to Baloch people in federal government had also not been fulfilled and if the government did not take the matter seriously, situation could go out of control.

He said that judiciary, media and civil society struggled for the restoration of democracy and removal of a dictator, however, the democracy did not bring any improvement. Pakistan was a war zone and it was under the possession of guns and guards, he added.
