SIALKOT, Sept 13: It rained heavily in Sialkot, Daska, Bhopalwala, Ugoki, Pasrur, Chawinda, Badiana, Shakargarh, Zafarwal, Badomalhi and Narowal on Friday.

Rain started falling in the morning and continued throughout the day, turning the weather pleasant and even cold in some places. The low-lying areas of both Sialkot and Narowal were submerged in up to two to three feet of water.

Officials of Daska, Sialkot and Pasrur municipalities remained busy in wiping out water from the helipads in Sambrial (Daska), Sialkot and Chawinda (Pasrur), where the governor was scheduled to land during his visit to the district on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Sialkot Met office has forecast more rainfall in both Sialkot and Narowal districts during the next 24 hours.
