10 professors appointed

PESHAWAR, Sept 13: The provincial health department on Friday notified the names of 10 assistant professors appointed for the Khyber Teaching Hospital.

The posts were vacant after many doctors had resigned to protest against the institution-based practice.

Dr Faizur Rehman and Dr Hamza Khan were appointed in the department of medicine, Dr Mah Munir Khan in surgery, Dr Mian Amjad Ali and Dr Zahid Askar in orthopaedic, Dr Parezgar and Dr Tahira Hakim Shah in anaesthesia, Dr Asif in paeds surgery, Dr Mohammed Jan in pharmacology and Dr Sadia Arif in bio-chemistry.
