PESHAWAR, Sept 8: The head of European Union election observation mission, John Cushnahan, is arriving in Peshawar on Monday to hold a second round of meetings with political parties leaders.

Mr Cushnahan, accompanied by deputy chief observer Dr Oskar Lehner, will hold meetings with Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, Chief Secretary Shakil Durrani, Peshawar city district Nazim Azam Afridi, PPP (Sherpao) Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, NAPP President Ajmal Khattak, and Human Rights Commission of Pakistan Chairman Afrasiab Khattak.

According to a press statement issued on Sunday, this is Mr Cushnahan’s second round of meeting outside the capital. Since their arrival in Pakistan more than a month ago, Mr Cushnahan and the core members of his team have held extensive meetings in Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar.
