BD president felicitated

ISLAMABAD, Sept 7: President Gen Pervez Musharraf has felicitated Professor Tajuddin Ahmed on his becoming Bangladesh’s president.

In his message, Gen Musharraf said: “I have great pleasure in extending to you my warmest felicitation on your assumption of the office of the president of the People‘s Republic of Bangladesh. Your election to this office is a fitting tribute to your qualities of leadership, as indeed to the many contributions you have made in diverse fields in your distinguished career.”

“Pakistan and Bangladesh enjoy close brotherly relations based on strong ties of common history and religion, shared values and cultural affinity. I cherish fond memories of my visit to your beautiful country in July.”
