ISLAMABAD, Sept 7: Different consumer right organizations have asked the govern-ment to ensure access to essential drugs in the policy reforms for the pharmaceutical industry.
Dr Zafar Mirza of The Network for Consumer Rights, in his presentation before a high-level committee reviewing pharmaceutical policy, on Saturday, said the policy document under consideration was insensitive to consumers’ concerns like prevalent poor social indicators, rising poverty and heavy burden of diseases. The FPPS president, Sajjad Munir, said the prices of all non patent products should be rationalized.
