Legendary producer, Peter Gabriel, is slated to collaborate with Salman Ahmed on a song for the flood victims First it was Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (NFAK), and then the Rizwan and Moazzam Qawwal (nephews of the NFAK) signed up with Peter Gabriel’s Real World record label allowing the influential producer to work on creating music with them.

In the light of the recent disaster to strike Pakistan, Peter Gabriel has decided to collaborate with Junoon’s band leader, Salman Ahmed on a song called Khwab (dream). “First Peter Gabriel, second Angelina Jolie and now Lady Gaga is also looking to help out the flood victims, let’s keep the momentum going,” Salman Ahmed posted on his twitter account (sufisal).

He gave away news of his collaboration with Gabriel on a tweet that he posted saying that “my respect and admiration for Peter Gabriel continues to grow exponentially. A great artist, and a humanitarian onboard the song for Pakistan” and expresses his gratitude for the musician/producer by saying that, “Thanks again to Peter Gabriel for joining me to record and produce the song for Pakistan; Hoping that Sir Paul McCartney will come together too” – referring to the legendary singer, musician and composer of The Beatles.

Salman does not mention when the song will be released.
