ISLAMABAD: Workshop on drug quality

ISLAMABAD, Nov 9: The Health Ministry is organizing a three-day international workshop on “Management, Production and Quality Assurance of Drugs” from November 12 to bring together experts, academicians, drug control managers in the government and the pharmaceutical industry to share their experiences.

The participants of the workshop, being held in Karachi from November 12, will share their knowledge and experiences in drug production, management, good manufacturing practices (GMP), and quality assurance, with special emphasis on stability and validation.

Experts of international repute and trained in Belgium, France, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Switzerland, USA and UK, will make 32 presentations at the workshop.

Over 350 pharmacists, chemists, scientists, doctors and managers have so far been enlisted for the workshop, which is being organized in collaboration with the World Health Organization.
