DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Sept 4: The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) has taken action against two cable TV operators for violating the code of conduct and transmission of banned channels.

A two-member Pemra team, comprising In-charge Enforcement and In-charge Operations of cable TV, inspected, monitored and checked the transmission of cable TV networks in different localities of Dera Ismail Khan last Thursday.

The Pemra chairman, who received complaints against cable TV operators in D.I.Khan, took the action. Show-cause notices were issued to the cable operators, M/s NCN Cable Network and M/s Margalla Cable Network, on account of violation of Pemra Ordinance.

The Pemra inspection team conducted the inspection with the cooperation of the district government, local police and the LICT workforce.
