It also plans to spend Rs 140,000 on the repair of the residence of municipal engineer. The administrator also allocated Rs4 million for refurbishing and renovating the children park in Gujar Khan, already in good condition.

The administrator of Gujar Khan TMA, Saif Anwar Jappa, when asked to comment on spending in the backdrop of chief minister's austerity drive, said he had not received any instructions in this regard.

Furthermore, he said the TMA was financing the projects from own financial resources. He said that these schemes were recommended by the last administrator and were approved by the district development committee.
