16 booked for land grabbing

DADU, Sept 1: The Budhapur police registered an FIR against 16 landlords of kutcha area for illegally occupying over 200 acres and cutting trees in Unarpur Forest.

A guard of Unarpur Forest, Raza Mohammad Khoso, received information the landlords had occupied over 200 acres and were cutting trees illegally.

The forest guard, along with other officials, paid a surprise visit to the forest and found a large number of people cutting tree.

The forest officials asked them to stop cutting trees and vacate the possession of the forest land but they refused and threatened them with dire consequences.

Later, the forest guard went to the Budhapur police station and registered an FIR under section 26/63 of the Forest Act against Rahib Solangi, Ayub, Golo, Bilawal, Habib, Dildar, Meer, Adam, Ghulam, Jabal, Usman, Wahidoo, Mehrab, Hakim, Patasho and Meenhoon Khan Machhi.

SNATCHED: Four armed men blocked Peer Shakh-Dadu Link Road on Sunday and robbed Abdul Rehman Panhwar, who was coming to Dadu town from Bux Panhwar village, of his motorcycle (DU-3517).

The armed men also shot at and injured him when he offered resistance.
