PESHAWAR, Oct 8: As many as 3,980 boys and girls appeared in the entry test for admission to NWFP medical colleges held at the Qayyum Stadium here on Sunday.

The NWFP minister for education and information, Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah Gillani, inspected the arrangements made for conducting the test in a transparent manner.

The minister while talking to the test supervising staff and other concerned authorities said that the entry test system for admission to medical colleges had proved helpful in producing students of high calibre as well as raising the standard of education.

These students would be an asset in their relevant fields by showing exemplary performance, the minister remarked, saying, “the present government is determined to improve the standard of education and all resources are being mobilized to achieve the cherished goal in all respects.”
