PESHAWAR, Aug 31: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf has alleged that the government is involved in pre-poll rigging and have asked the European observers to ensure free and fair elections in the country.
Taking to reporters here on Saturday, the president of PTI Peshawar district and candidate for NA-3 and PF-8, Abid Iqbal alleged that the Nazim of Town-2 was using government funds and machinery to seek votes for his brother in the next polls.
According to him, the government’s claim of conducting fair elections had proved wrong because its functionaries were persuading people to join the “king’s party”.—Correspondent
