LAHORE, Aug 29: The war of words which erupted between the PML(QA) and the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf a few days ago with the leaders of the two sides making allegations and counter allegations against each other degenerated into a mud-slinging campaign on Thursday with the PML(QA) launching an attack on the personal life of PTI chief Imran Khan.

The cricketer-turned-politician had challenged PML-QA leader Chaudhry Shujaat Husain to hold a debate with him.

“After throwing the challenge, Imran Khan has gone abroad to strike a new deal with Sita White that she should keep quiet on the issue of their alleged daughter”, Lahore PML-QA President Akhtar Rasool said in a statement.

He said had the PTI chief been serious in a debate, he would not have left the country immediately after challenging Chaudhry Shujaat.

Disputing the veracity of allegations that the PML-QA was a government-backed party, Akhtar Rasool, a former hockey star, said it was a cheap way of getting publicity.
