HARIPUR, Aug, 29: The scrutiny of nomination papers filed by the aspirants for one NA and four provincial assembly seat of district Haripur has been completed here on Thursday.

Like other parts of the country as many as 35 candidates, belonging to different political parties, filed their nomination papers on the lone national assembly seat and four provincial assembly seats for the coming general elections in Haripur.

For NA-19 there were 11 candidates in the run but with the rejection of papers of one aspirant namely Maj-Gen (retd) Zaheerul Islam Abbasi, the returning officer had confirmed the candidatures of 10 candidates.

For provincial assembly seats, as there was hardly any objection raised against, the opponents from any one the returning officers of PF-49,50,51 and 52 had declared the papers of all the candidates as valid and technically correct.

The papers of those candidates were accepted were NA 19 Pir Sabir Shah (PML-N), Omar Ayub Khan (PML-QA), Sardar Abdul Rauf Khan (PPP), Ghulam Nabbi Khan (MMA), Mohammed Shehryar Khan (PML- J), Abdul Hameed Khan (TI), Rafiq Khanzada (Independent), Khushi Mohammad Awan (PDP), Syed Waqar Hussain Shah and Muhammad Fiaz Khan.

For PF-49 Raja Faisal Zaman (Independent), Raja Sheeraz Haidar (PML-QA), Maulana Abdul Haq (MMA), Sajjad Khan Bagra (Independent), Akhtar Nawaz Khan of Hattar (Independent) and Mukhtiar Hussain Shah (Independent).

For PF-50 Yusuf Ayub Khan (PML-N), Qazi Muhammad Asad (PML- QA), Malik Abdul Jalil (MMA), Raja Tahir Ayub (PPP-Sherpao), Sabaz Ali Khan (Independent), Pervez Akhtar Rana (PPP-Sherpao), Zulfiqar Ahmad Qureshi (PPP), Seth Naveed Asghar Hazara (Qaumi Mahaz), and Arshad Ayub (PML-N).

PF-51 Sardar Mushtaq Khan (PML-N), Akhtar Nawaz Khan (Independent), Wajid Hussain Shah (Independent), Shamsul Islam Anjum (MMA), Khanzada Khan (PAT), Alam Zeb Khan (Independent); and for PF-52 Pir Sabir Shah of (PML-N), Faisal Zaman of (PML- QA), Khushi Muhammad (PDP), Ghulam Nabbi Khan (MMA) were declared candidates with correct nomination papers.
