KARACHI, August 29: The Hindu community will celebrate Janam asthmi, birth day of Lord Krishna, on August 31.

A major gathering will be held in the Swami Narayan Temple opposite the old KMC head office, where prayers would be held at midnight, which is said to be birth time of Lord Krishna.

The All Pakistan Hindu Panchayat has said the faithful will pray for peace and prosperity for all in the country.

Chairman of the Panchayat, Mukhi Chatrumal Chandan, has requested the community to participate in the ‘Bhajan and Aarti’ ceremony of Lord Krishna to be held on the occasion.—PPI
