NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, July 21 Residents of different villages took out a procession and held a demonstration on the Gachero road on Wednesday against non-completion of road.

Villagers of Meenho Khan Bughio, Arz Mohammad Solangi, Juman Bhatti, Bhambhal Bughio, Mallah and Syed Paryal Shah complained that a layer of stones was laid four years ago, but the project remained incomplete.

They said that the three kilometres road from the Gachero road towards the village of Haji Miro Khan Bughio and other villages was sanctioned four years ago.

It was due to non-completion of the road that poor rickshaw drivers carrying villagers from Gachero and Moro had lost their source of livelihood, they said.

It was not easy for serious patients to travel on that incomplete road, they said.

Contractor Aslam Qureshi admitted that the road had not been constructed for the last four years because funds for further work were not provided. When contacted, SDO roads of Moro Mohammad Moosa Malik, his mobile phone remained unattended.
