LAHORE: PMA to set up 50-bed hospital

LAHORE, Nov 8: The Pakistan Medical Association is making arrangements for setting up a 50-bed hospital in Afghanistan by first of Ramazan and provide food and tents to 500 families, the PMA central president Dr Yasmin Raashed said on Wednesday.

She said a team of volunteer doctors would reach Afghanistan on Nov 12.

Dr Raashed appealed to the philanthropists to donate generously to the PMA relief fund to extend humanitarian assistance to the people displaced by US strikes in Afghanistan. She also asked volunteer doctors and nurses to register themselves with the PMA.
