Harrison bags title

KARACHI, Aug 24: Harrison clinched the men’s singles badminton title in the City Government Jashan-e-Azadi tournament at Sindh Sports Complex Hall beating Noman in the final Friday evening.

Harrison dropped the middle game before overpowering Noman 15-11, 11-15, 15-10 in the final.

Earlier in the semifinals, Harrison beat Shehryar 15- 8, 15-13 and Noman downed Imran 15-11, 11-15, 15-10.

Zohaib won the under-14 singles event beating Mohiuddin 11- 17, 11-6 in the final. In the semifinal Zohaib got the better of Jackson 11-8, 11-5 and Mohiuddin recovered from a game down to beat Abeer 2-11, 11-3, 11-8.—APP
