BADIN, Aug 24: About 300 people with the activists of traders organisations of Badin district, took out a procession here on Saturday to protest against the Hesco for the frequent power failure in various parts of the district.

The procession started from the fruit market and passed through the main roads of the town.

The participants were raising slogans against the Hesco officials.

The protesters, after burning old tyres on the roads, surrounded the grid station and also staged a sit-in at the Badin-Hyderabad road, which resulted in the suspension of traffic for three hours.

The protest ended when the DCO, Ameer Ali Behan and the DPO, Abdul Quddoos Shaikh, reached the spot and assured the protesters that the matter would be looked into.
