ABBOTTABAD,  Aug  23: All the top seeded  players,  including national champion Wajid Ali, moved into the quarterfinals of the 5th  All Pakistan Mushtaq Rehmani Memorial  badminton  tournament after winning their respective matches at the City Sports Complex on Friday.

Semifinals will be played on Aug 24 and the final  is  fixed for Aug 25.

In the quarterfinals, defending champion Wajid Ali will  face Ashraf  Masih, Zeshan will take on Shabbar, Waqas will meet  Atiq and Ahsan Qamar will fight against Imran Mohib.

PTCL’s  Ashraf Masih defeated Asif Nisar 15-12,  13-15  and 15-12.

PIA’s Ahsan Qamar won against PTCL’s Munir 15-11,  9-15 and 15-12.

Other results:

Imran Mohib beat Akram Masih PTCL 15-10, 15-17, Shabbar beat  Adnan 15-10, 15-6, Atiq beat Zulfiqar 15-10, 15-7, Waqas Ali beat Intikhab 15-8, 15-9.
