Optimist sailors off to China

KARACHI, Aug 23: A six-member Optimist sailing squad left for China to compete in the IODA Asian Optimist Sailing Championship, says a press release of Pakistan Sailing Federation (PSAF) issued Friday.

The selection of these under-16 sailors were made after Asian Games trial.

The championship will be held at Qingdao from Aug 23 to 30. Individual championship as well as team racing events will be contested by five Pakistani children.

Pakistan optimist sailors included Huzaifa Farooqi, Danial Arshad, Andrea Yasmin Rehman, Wajahatullah Babar and Mir Ahmed Mansoor.
