PESHAWAR, Aug 23: A social activist of Charsadda district has sought protection from the government against her relatives who threatened her of dire consequences if she continues to work.

Farah Deeba is an activist of the Hasthnagar Community Development Network, Charsadda, and her cousins have been forcing her to quit her job.

According to a press release, Ms Deeba is a resident of Khat Bazar, Tarangzai. Her father died some time ago. She has three sisters and come from a poor family. She has been doing the job to earn a livelihood for her family.

The aggrieved woman has now been facing problems from her cousins, Ziad, son of Yousaf Ali, and Nauroz, son of Noor Shad. She said that on Aug 19, she was beaten up by Ziad in the Tarangzai Chowk and her chaddar was removed.
