LAHORE Fine performance by winger Bilal, who scored two, helped Pakistan beat India 4-2 in the AFC Under-14 Football Festival at Municipality Sports Complex in Hamedan, Iran.

According to the reports received here on Wednesday, Pakistan recovered from 0-2 down to complete a fine victory.

It was Pakistan's second match of the format-one show that comprises 30 minutes of action.

Pakistan, under AFC Aid-27 coach Hassan Baloch, showed great determination as it struck four times in the final 13 minutes of the game after India seized a 2-0 lead by scoring in the seventh and 14th minutes. Pakistan pulled one back through Bilal in the 17th minute, followed by a well-taken equaliser by Okara-born Umar Hayat, three minutes later, to level the issue.

Skipper Muneer Ahmed, who hails from Karachi, surged Pakistan 3-2 ahead four minutes from time through a spot-kick and it was left to Bilal to round off the tally with his second at the stroke of fulltime.

Earlier, in the first match, Pakistan cut Maldives to size with a resounding 4-0 win.

Younis Saeed showed sparkling striking power as Pakistan gave no room to Maldives. He struck twice in the sixth and 19th minutes while Hassan Pervaiz (11th min) and Gilgit-born Ashfaq Uddin (27th min) were the other goal getters.
