MIRPURKHAS, Aug 21: The chairman, Zakat and Ushr Committee, Mirpurkhas Distict, Zakaria Ahmed Bhawani, has removed 39 chairmen of local Zakat committees of the distict on public complaints on Tuesday.

He also issued directives to the Taluka chairmen concerned to hold elections of the new chairmen of the local Zakat and Ushr committees.

The Zakat officer, Mirpurkhas Distict, Farman Ali Tanwri, conducted a survey of the seven Talukas of the distict and compiled a report.

He recorded complaints against 39 chairmen of Zakat and Ushr committees including 17 chairmen of Mirpurkhas Taluka, six of Samaro Taluka, eight of Kot Ghulam Mohammad Taluka, two of Umerkot Taluka, four of Kunri Taluka, and two of Pithoro Taluka.

DPO: The DPO, Mirpurkhas, Dr Waliullah Dal, has directed the police officers not to intervene in civil matters and give proper attention to their duties.
