HYDERABAD, Aug 21: The Sindh University will issue certificates, equivalent to the BA and MA degrees to the students of Madressahs.

Vice Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui, keeping in view the rules of the University Grants Commission, instructions from the federal government and with the approval of the Board of Advanced Studies of the university, here on Wednesday approved the procedure for granting the certificates to the Sanad-holders of the Madressahs.

According to procedure the Sanads of Madressahs will be verified by a committee comprising four professors, including the deputy registrar, general administration.

The applicants for the certificates will have to deposit two attested passport-size photographs and an attested copy of the NIC.

The certificates will only be issued to the students of the Madressahs, approved by the government and falling within the jurisdiction of the Sindh University.

The committee will meet every two weeks to consider the requests to award the certificates.

If a certificate is found bogus, the case will be forwarded to the investigating agency for taking legal action against the applicant

PRE-ENTRY TEST: The director of graduate studies, Sondh University, announced here on Wednesday that the pre-entry test for admissions in M.Phil programme will be conducted on Aug 24, at 10:30am at the relevant departments.
